Sat 08/01/20  Sunrise Kayak Excursion

Rise and shine, outdoor lovers! We will meet on-site at 8:00am at one of the local bodies of water to explore and look for native wildlife and scenic sunrise views. Make sure you wear comfortable clothes, slip-resistant footwear, and bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and a snack! We will return to Martin Park at 11:00am. Kayaks, paddles, PFD's, and instruction will be provided by Martin Park staff. Please note that the kayak weight limit is 300 pounds. Location of the event will be provided during registration.

Have you ever been spider sniffing? Using a flashlight or a headlamp, we will hike the trails in search of spiders and their beautifully built webs. Spiders play an important role in insect population control and are masters of natural architecture. Learn more about them through a night hike led by park staff.
