The adult competitive baseball league is a truly unique program allowing competitive baseball players to continue to play the game that they love.  Teams will play doubleheaders on Saturdays or Sundays with games lastly approximately three hours.  Game length will be 9 innings and umpire fees will be $10/inning, which are paid directly to the umpires at game time.  The season will consist of a 16-game schedule (doubleheaders), followed by a double elimination end of the year championship tournament.

The OKC Dodgers Rookie League provides the opportunity to learn and develop fundamental skills in a safe, fun, and noncompetitive environment. All teams will have one game per week played on Saturdays. Additionally, teams will have one practice per week and that will be based on the coach’s availability. Practices are scheduled to start the week of August 24th.  Teams will plan a 7-game schedule beginning September 12th, followed by the Play Ball Event located at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.  All games will be played at Wheeler Park.

Camps

Tue 05/26/20 to Fri 08/07/20  Fit For Youth Day Camp - Summer 2020

Let OKC Parks fill your summer break with fun, fitness, and friendship!  Activities at Fit for Youth include sports, arts, swimming, recreational activities, nature, and a weekly field trip. Campers will go home with a t-shirt and lots of fun memories! Bring a sack lunch and drink; breakfast and snacks are provided.
 
****We swim every Monday and Wednesday at the Foster indoor pool! Please bring a swimsuit, towel, and change of clothes with your camper. Swim shoes, caps, goggles, and water toys are also allowed, however no large inflatables please. We will visit our Outdoor Family Aquatic Centers some Friday’s as well. Please check the Weekly Schedule for details.
 
  • Morning and afternoon snacks provided.
  • Campers will need to bring a sack lunch every day!
  • Campers will need to bring daily: tennis shoes, backpack, reusable water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, and lunch. A towel and swimsuit needed on swim day.
  • Drop off 7:30am-9:00am; Pick-up 4:00pm-5:30pm (We will be onsite during these hours)

Rise and shine, outdoor lovers! We will meet on-site at 8:00am at one of the local bodies of water to explore and look for native wildlife and scenic sunrise views. This program is a two-week program that will keep children ages 6-17 busy M-F, 8am-5pm creating a musical production. Our participants learn theatre basics such as terminology, stage directions, the audition process, choreography, music class, and acting. The young performers find themselves being cast in this lively production full of fun and fantasy. Participants bring sack lunches and wear comfy clothes they can move in. Closed toe shoes are a must. Performances are on the final day and evening of camp.

Sat 07/11/20  3rd Annual Pool Party 5K & Fun Run

Get ready for the 3rd Annual Pool Party 5K and Fun Run where you will cool off at the race-exclusive pool party at Earlywine Family Aquatic Center following an officially timed race! The pool party will begin as soon as the first runner crosses the finish line and you have access all day! Invite friends and family to join the party! (Admission required) Prizes will be awarded to top three male and female finishers in each age group. Follow us on Facebook for announcements, contests and more!
The party looks a little different this year as we want to keep everyone safe during our event. Please review the following guidelines that we will ask all our participants to follow during the race this year.
To ensure the safety of all participants, we are asking everyone to adhere to the following requirements:
  • Masks are not required but encouraged if you are unable to keep six feet distance.
  • Start your race six feet apart to maintain social distancing. No need to hurry, your start time begins as you cross the start line. 
  • Participants must carry their own water.  No water stops will be provided.
  • Finish line bottled water will be provided after the race.
  • Participants must follow all CDC social distancing guidelines.
  • Participants must be in good health and symptom free from any illness for at least 2 weeks prior to the event.
  • On course participants are encouraged to maintain social distancing.  This means participants are recommended to maintain six feet in front, behind and on either side of other participants.
  • After crossing the finish line, participants are encouraged to not congregate at the finish line and to check their results at home, in the family aquatic center or once they are at their vehicle on their mobile device.  Spectators are not allowed in the finish line area. 
  • Failure to comply with any of these requirements will result in being asked to leave the event.
Age Groups: 18 & Over, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & better.

Start Time: Both races will begin at 8:00am.

Packet Pickup: 
• You may pick up your packet day-of from 7:15am - 7:40am, but please arrive with enough time to do so.
Swag and Awards:

• Top age group finishers will be notified via email of their prize no later than 24 hours after the race. No awards ceremony.

Designed for reaching swimmers who can swim from one side of a pool to the other.  Class focuses on increasing swim speed and ability, as well as introductory training for competitive swimming.
 
Small group lessons consist of a group of no more than three students. All small group lessons are either Swim School or Stroke School levels.

The priority of Swim School is to make sure that swimmers can be fully self-reliant.  Teaching kids how to flip and float on their backs, crucial skills in surviving an accidental fall into a pool.  Swim School carries students from learning to survive in the water to being able to swim themselves across the pool!
 
All curriculum is provided by the Starfish Aquatics Institute. Instructors are also trained and certified through Starfish Aquatics Institute, one of the five nationally recognized certifying bodies for aquatic professionals. In addition, all our swim instructors are also certified lifeguards.
 
ATTENTION: Due to COVID-19 social distancing precautions, a parent or responsible party is required to be in the water with their child during these lessons. We apologize for any inconvenience.
