This intro to competitive league will consist of 8 games: 4 home games and 4 away games. Games may be on Saturday or Sunday. Teams will travel to surrounding Metro areas, including: Edmond, Mustang, Yukon, Guthrie, North Oklahoma City, El Reno, and Shawnee. Younger children may play up two age groups, however older children may not play down any age group. Uniform Included.

Adult Soccer League: This Men's/Coed league is a sanctioned league that provides adults the opportunity to continue playing soccer at a high level. Tue 05/26/20 to Fri 08/07/20  Fit For Youth Day Camp - Summer 2020

Let OKC Parks fill your summer break with fun, fitness, and friendship!  Activities at Fit for Youth include sports, arts, swimming, recreational activities, nature, and a weekly field trip. Campers will go home with a t-shirt and lots of fun memories! Bring a sack lunch and drink; breakfast and snacks are provided.
 
****We swim every Monday and Wednesday at the Foster indoor pool! Please bring a swimsuit, towel, and change of clothes with your camper. Swim shoes, caps, goggles, and water toys are also allowed, however no large inflatables please. We will visit our Outdoor Family Aquatic Centers some Friday’s as well. Please check the Weekly Schedule for details.
 
  • Morning and afternoon snacks provided.
  • Campers will need to bring a sack lunch every day!
  • Campers will need to bring daily: tennis shoes, backpack, reusable water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, and lunch. A towel and swimsuit needed on swim day.

Activities may include: Building a robotic finger and learning the code to make it move; using the Microsoft Office Suite to create your own story, and making it come to life on the "big screen"; and learning coding basics with Minecraft, and make it rain ocelots and wolves. The possibilities are endless! The camp will take place at the Microsoft Store in Penn Square Mall.

 

By the end of these workshops, participants will have:

· Increased confidence in their technical skills 

· Improved their computational and creative thinking

· Gained confidence and skill for presentation

This summer camp will teach Golf Fundamentals through fun and educational activities designed to develop more positive and confident students, both on and off the course.  Through each golf activity a child will learn multiple golf skills, etiquette/responsibility on the course and the rules of golf.  Upon completion of the camp all golfers will acquire Certification at the First Tee PLAYER Level which will allow golfers to advance to the second level, PAR Level, through Fall and Spring Programs.

A true introduction to skateboarding for those who have never skateboarded before. Course includes focus on basic safety, park etiquette, and building foundational skills for further development. The skills learned in this course will set students up for whatever styles of skating they are interested in. This course is the most basic and introductory, no experience required.
 
Skaters can bring their own deck, or we have boards during the duration of camp!

Swimming

Interested in becoming a Lifeguard?  The Oklahoma City Parks & Recreation Department’s aquatic staff is trained by the StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Training Program. Individuals will learn how to anticipate, recognize, and manage accidents/incidents in a professional manner, while protecting themselves. Training includes performing rescues and giving emergency care. In this course you will learn First Aid, CPR, oxygen administration, and how to work an AED.  Successful completion of this class provides the necessary license to work for the Oklahoma City Parks & Recreation Aquatic Facilities.
 
Prospective students should visit the Foster Recreation Center (614 NE 4th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73104) to perform a swimming test prior to registration.  Swim test will include treading water for one minute using legs only, swimming 200 yards continuously using front crawl or breaststroke and being able to retrieve a 10-pound object from water depth of 9-feet and return to the surface.   
 
Classes are provided FREE to persons who apply and work for The City of Oklahoma City's Parks and Recreation Department. Persons seeking employment outside of OKC Parks and Recreation are required to pay $235.
